Signage in Paradise


(Assuming there are cars in paradise??)

Federal Highway Administration released a 135-page comprehensive update to their Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).   According to the press release from Transportation Secretary LaHood:  "Several of the new updates will make it easier for city traffic engineers across the country to implement signs, signals, and markings that improve conditions for biking and walking."

Yeah, I would think that fiscally conservative republicans could see the value in investing in cycling. The more cyclists out there, the less everyone's taxes has to go toward road repair, law enforcement, and eventually, healthcare. You'd think this would be a huge lightbulb going off in fiscal conservative's heads.
