Mayor Suttle is a Bike Commuter
This year, Mayor Suttle joined us for the Mayor's Ride. If you couldn't make it to the ride, here is a helmet camera view of the ride. Make sure you join us for this event next year if you didn't ride this year. Hopefully, the 2011 Mayor's Ride will be a bit earlier so that more people can participate.

Looks like a great turnout. I was at work so I could not attend but I ride my bicycle to work every day (about 8km).
Yeah... it's a pretty good sized group. Hopefully it will be even larger next year.
I'm wondering if doing the ride DURING rush hour would be a positive or negative PR move.
Hard to say Biker Bob. On the one hand it gives cyclists exposure to a greater number of people, something we SORELY need. On the other hand most drivers get upset if you slow them down for more than a second so it could cause a backlash at a time when we REALLY need more support. So take your pick. More exposure but a greater chance of upsetting people or less exposure and a much lower risk of upsetting people.
