Shamelessly stealing somebody else's cool ideas...

Ok, I admit it ... I am the person who often refers to Portland as the Marsha Brady of bike friendly cities. It doesn't take attendance at very many national conferences before you start equating, "Portland, Portland, Portland!" to "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!"

Having said that, I also have to admit that they have some really cool ideas for bike activities that I think are worth shamelessly copying.

For instance, I think that THIS event where you let the random roll of the dice determine your route sounds like a blast. Totally worth trying!

I'll let you form your own opinion on the copy-worthiness of THIS event - World Naked Bike Ride. See, they had an estimated 13,000 (yes, you read that right, thirteen thousand) people ride...mostly or totally nekkid... with a police escort. I have to say, the photos - very tastefuly done (ha!) - are pretty funny. Lots of bike tans on display there. :) (Not that a group of us crowded around the computer to check it out or anything.)

Food for thought!?
