Thanks to Steve, a recent Omaha transplant from Portland (Yes - people apparently do move FROM Portland TO Omaha!? Who knew??), for sending this link. Portland peeps frequently cite this data (or something similar - I've also seen it compared to the cost of a freeway interchange), and it stands up!

And yet motorists claim bicycle infrastructure is too expensive all while crying for more roads and freeways. I saw this exact claim in a street film video a few months back, really was an eye opener.
