November is upon us and with it comes another Ladies and Gentlemen's Cycling Club ride. Unpack your wool scarves, knee-high socks, tweed caps and cable-knit sweaters and join Omaha's best dressed bicycling bunch for a Sunday roll around Elmwood Park. Our leisurely ride around Elmwood Park and the surrounding area will allow for good conversation and jolly times while soaking in the last of Omaha's beautiful fall colors. Layer your tweed and grow your beards as true ladies and gentlemen dress appropriately to ride in any weather.Starting in Benson, we will roll down Country Club Ave experiencing the quaint neighborhoods, slow traffic, and downhill wind in your hair. We will meet Happy Hollow Blvd to wind through Dundee Omaha passing by Memorial Park and into Elmwood Park. Watch for falling acorns as we make our way through Elmwood Park and Aksarben Village. We will end the ride at Jones Bros. Cupcakes with the option to warm our souls with coffee, hot chocolate, desserts and conversation.
***Please note that this route is NOT a loop. Not comfortable biking back to Benson after finishing the route and need a ride to Gallagher Park? I will have a truck at Jones Bros to shuttle you and your bike back to Gallagher. Please email me (joleneholland@gmail.com) if you need this service! Even if you don't email me, I will plan on shuttling bikes and people. I want to make sure everyone can enjoy the ride even if you have to drive your car to get to Gallagher and don't want to bike back there.
We had a good crowd dressed to the nines at last month's ride. What will November bring?
